Obituary of Myrtle Cunningham

Mrs. Myrtle Dorothy Cunningham of Clearview Seniors in Hampton and formerly of Passekeag passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 21, 2005 at the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Herb and Lucy (Gallant) Doyle and the beloved wife of the late Walter Cunningham who passed away in 1966. Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Telesnicki and Bill Hay of Passekeag, 2 grandchildren; Darrell, Rick and his wife Karen, 3 great-grandchildren; Hope, A.J. and Candace, as well as several nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her son Raymond, her grandson David and by her son-in-law, Ted, 5 brothers; Hanson, Ralph, Vincent, Wilford and Cecil and by 4 sisters; Jean, Marie, Grace and Lillian For a number of years Myrtle worked along side her husband in their taxi business 'Cunningham's Taxi', After Walter's death in 1966, she worked at Gould's Bakery for a short time before her retirement. Myrtle was a member of St. Francis Xavier RC Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Sunday 2-4, 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Phillips RC Church on Monday, April 25, 2005 at 10:00 am, with the interment at St. Phillips RC Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Kidney Foundation, the NB Heart and Stroke foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
