Obituary of Marguerite Stevens

Mrs. Marguerite Stevens of Kiwanis Nursing Home and formerly of Pleasant Ave. Sussex, NB, passed away at her residence on November 19, 2004 at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Trebble) Brown and the beloved wife of the late Monte Stevens who passed away in 1973. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Carol Jeffrey and husband Gale, her son, Waymen Stevens and wife Andrea of Sussex, her sister, Alice Hawker of Coles Island, 4 grandchildren, Candace Jeffrey, Spencer Jeffrey both of Sussex, Stacy Stevens of Toronto, and Troy Stevens and his wife Kimberley of Red Deer, Alberta, 2 great grandchildren; Alyssa and Parker, as well as several nieces and nephews. Marguerite was a former member of the Coles Island United Church and UCW. In recent years she attended St. Paul's United Church and UCW. Marguerite was a former employee of Black's Ladies Wear. Marguerite was a dear and sweet lady who enjoyed her friends and family, a good laugh, baking, going for walks and a fine cup of tea. She was a hard worker and always managed to do it with a smile while looking smart and neat. Marguerite asked for very little but gave a whole lot. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 11:00 am, followed by a time of fellowship with the family. A graveside Service will be held at Coles Island Cemetery at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Coles Island Cemetery Fund, the Kiwanis Nursing Home or to the Alzheimer's Society.
